When snow falls, nature listens.

Last weekend I was in Spokane, WA running a 5k with daughter and granddaughter. Someone captured this photo of us as we crossed the finish line. Note the weather gear – those are some people in shorts. It was almost 50 degrees and quite a wonderful day for a race!
Last night we flew home to Rochester, NY which is experiencing the same deep freeze as the much of the eastern portion of the U.S. It was -6 last night and today it is about 0 – quite a difference!
But, it is beautiful even if it is cold. Here are some photos I took this morning from my office door and outside our bedroom.
Of course, not everyone is bothered by the cold. Note the slightly blurred images in this photo.
Those are our two huskies who are very happy with the weather. Our pet sitters reported that the dogs were romping in the snow with no concern for the cold.
Needless to say, I have a slight preference for the 50 degree temps! I hope to spend some of the next week curled up in my office working on my fiber art.
